How can we Rise Above in our daily lives?

Hello and Welcome! I am here to guide you through what has been the hardest time in my life so far and I think is yours too: childhood/adolescence.

We often hear grownups say that they are not in good terms with their parents, I used to wonder why. What could have happened for someone to say that they don’t want to talk to their parents anymore? But then I grew up, and now I am the one saying that I don’t want to talk to my parents, mostly because of resentment.

When I was younger I wanted to take some dance classes. My parents couldn’t afford them so they just told me no. What I did was to wait until I started making my own money. So I’ve waited until I graduated from High School and got my first full time job.

But what I should have done was to look for some free dance lessons myself. I come from a big city, there is always an organization or a charity that is willing to help children get what they want. I should have taken charge of my own life.

I want you to start taking charge of your life, gather as much as information on the things that you want, then discuss it with your parents. There’s always a solution to a problem.
